Minutes from the July 11, 2009 Council Meeting
Attendance: Kaye MacDonald, Roger Buckingham, Dave Gendler, John Gorys,
Gordon Lewis,Tim Phillips, Bill Sikkinga, Evelyn Furman
Absent: none
Tim presented the agenda for the Annual Meeting
Business meeting began at 9:00 am
Secretary report from the June meeting motion to accept made by John
second by Bill vote taken motion carried.
Motion to use the Gary Skinner Fund for stabilization was made by
Roger second by Kaye motion carried. Rock will be used for this purpose.
Shocking will take place on August 17, 2009.
August 29, 2009 Fox Bridge project – DNR approved access.
Sayers Creek this project is on hold until 2010, we are looking for
support from the Little Band of Ottawa Indians.
New Business
There has been some issues regarding putting in Handicap Access for fishing.
Roger requested $300.00 in order to purchase a chain saw; the SWAT team is
in need of a larger saw as they are experiencing some difficulties with the
small unit they are currently using.
Gordon made the motion to purchase this saw; John seconded all council
members agreed. Motion carried.
The membership began arriving for the annual meeting Roger made the motion
to close the Council meeting Gordon second, all agreed.
A special “thank you” to Bill and Nancy Sikkinga for bringing back the
luncheon and the many hours spent in preparation for the meal.
The August meeting will be held at the Eden Twp. Hall, Irons, Michigan
at 9:00 am. Please let me know if you are unable to attend.
