Treasurers Report- due to the absence of a treasurer there was no report presented.  The council is currently working on finding a replacement for Bill Sikkinga.  Hopefully someone will come forward and help with this situation. Roger suggested Doug Mann and spoke to him regarding this position.  Someone needs to approach him and renew the suggestion.

Project Status:  Tim reviewed the list of projects denoting the sites that were under construction, near completion, and what is being considered in the future.  Please refer to this list.

Old Business:  Dave Gendler has begun working on the signs for the River, he has also contacted Anna Rogers who will be assisting him with this project.

Loss of Trustees: As you are aware our Council has been in need of additional volunteers, Jim Squier and Greg Block have indicated they are interested in this endeavor.

With the volunteering of Jim and Greg we now have filled almost all of the vacant positions.

We welcome both Jim Squier and Greg Block; we appreciate your input and assistance in our endeavors.  Roger motioned to add them to the Council, motion carried.

Salmon in the Classroom:  This program will continue at the Brethren School in Brethren with Mr. Wojo providing the classroom program, the Watershed will continue as in the past paying for the transportation of the students to the Weir, and repairing his equipment if necessary.

David Spruance provided information on the Chemicals in Trout Stream Ecosystems.  This provided insight into the relationship between dissolved oxygen and water temperature.  This indicates the river is in very good condition. This article would benefit our membership and should be published on the web site. Perhaps David would consider sending this to Joyce.

New Business Handicap access- this program has been tabled for now. Grant Possibilities:Several possibilities for applying for grants was presented.  Please read this material as we may be able to obtain a grant to help promote further construction of fish habitat on the LM.  There are many grants available if the rules are followed and we meet the requirements. Gordon: we hope you are moving easier, and getting back to normal. **October 3, 2009 Eden Twp.
